Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use multiple programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to deliver software.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and mentor members of the engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud technologies, open-source frameworks, frontend frameworks, APIs, automated testing, version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, using observability to optimize distributed systems, leveraging modern AI coding tools and IDE copilots, leading large-scale technical initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
