Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software, robotics, embedded, and on-premise systems.
- Containerize workloads with Docker and OrbStack across development, production, local, and factory-floor environments.
- Develop automated build, test, and release pipelines with hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop validation stages.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability for deployed robotic systems and on-premise infrastructure.
- Define CI/CD quality gates with QA and engineering teams to catch regressions before production.
- Manage developer tooling, local development environments, and internal platform services.
- Implement infrastructure security practices including secrets management, access control, vulnerability scanning, and network security.
- Administer factory-floor networking infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, firewalls, and machine-to-machine communication.
- Respond to infrastructure incidents, conduct post-mortems, and implement lasting fixes.
- Automate recurring manual processes to improve engineering velocity and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering with ownership of production infrastructure.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar, including pipeline, secrets, and artifact management.
- Strong experience with Docker and Docker Compose across on-premise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash.
- Production Linux administration experience, including provisioning, hardening, storage, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar monitoring and observability stacks.
- Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and local area network administration.
- Embedded, robotics, edge deployment, or industrial environment experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, autonomy, and an ability to drive work to completion.
- Ability to work in person at Molg headquarters in Sterling, Virginia.
