Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements and proposed solutions for technical feasibility.
- Design and install system specifications and programming.
- Customize and enhance existing solutions using Actimize software and SQL.
- Test and approve software solutions and configurations.
- Analyze and summarize development and service issues.
- Utilize software engineering tools in the development process.
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Perform root cause analysis and outline corrective actions.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers.
- Estimate effort and suggest improvements to processes.
- Document solutions with clear code and comments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a software company or consulting role.
- Proficiency in MS SQL and Oracle; Cassandra knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with ETL tools is a plus.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, XML, XSL, and JavaScript.
- Experience with web app servers like Tomcat or WebSphere.
- Prior experience with Actimize solutions is a significant advantage.
- Integration experience using APIs, databases, files, and queues is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS and container technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Tableau and Java is a plus.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and team-oriented approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
