Responsibilities
- Review product designs, architectures, and specifications; create comprehensive test plans; and execute functional, load, and performance tests.
- Build manual and automated integration and system tests for Akamai cloud APIs and services.
- Contribute continuously to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including writing automated tests and reviewing peer automation pull requests.
- Partner with globally distributed developers, SDET engineers, architects, and program managers.
- Ensure systems and software meet product specifications and contribute to release readiness and deployment schedule decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- More than 6 years of experience developing Python-based automation frameworks and testing REST/Open APIs.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and core networking concepts including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and basic MySQL database querying and schema design.
- Experience deploying, managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
