Responsibilities
- Design and evolve large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure platforms for performance, scalability, resilience, and diverse workloads.
- Optimize Kubernetes control-plane and data-plane performance, including pod lifecycle, resource orchestration, and system throughput.
- Build observability and performance-analysis frameworks, define Kubernetes system-level SLOs, and lead production tuning initiatives.
- Develop unified node- and cluster-level resource management and scheduling systems for heterogeneous compute environments.
- Standardize and optimize container runtime environments to improve workload isolation, reliability, and resource efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant industry experience; a Ph.D. with strong publication records may be an exception.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, high-performance networking systems, or large-scale software development.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Knowledge of big data or machine learning workflows in Kubernetes environments is preferred.
- Experience contributing to cloud-native open-source projects is preferred.
- Hands-on containerized-application experience through internships, coursework, or personal projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or distributed tracing systems is preferred.
