Base Salary
$171k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems.
- Set up monitoring tools, create incident response plans, resolve incidents, and implement preventative measures.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and system health checks.
- Analyze capacity and performance metrics, forecast future needs, and implement scaling solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve product reliability and streamline deployment.
- Maintain system architecture, process, and incident documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations providing 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and industry-standard compliance.
- Improve dashboards, alerts, operational runbooks, deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and self-service capabilities.
- Optimize infrastructure utilization and cloud costs while maintaining reliability.
- Lead cross-functional reliability initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language such as Python or Go.
- Experience with cloud services including AWS and Azure.
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Atlantis, and Terragrunt.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, and CircleCI.
- Experience with Grafana and Datadog monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with RDS, Aurora, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

- Base salary is benchmarked to San Francisco, California, with a range of $171,000 to $192,000 plus bonus and equity.
