Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical designs to provide risk-focused feedback.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based test automation frameworks.
- Create test strategies and automate testing for complex features across multiple environments.
- Improve framework reliability, performance, stability, and reporting.
- Build validation layers that prevent silent failures and regressions in CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop AI- and LLM-assisted tools for debugging, failure triage, test generation, flaky-pattern detection, log analysis, and root-cause identification.
- Design AI-assisted workflows and agent-based systems integrated with automation and release pipelines.
- Measure and improve reliability, automation efficiency, defect prevention, and engineering productivity.
- Coach quality engineers and promote quality ownership and automation-first practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software industry experience focused on quality, automation, and engineering excellence.
- Strong proficiency in Java and deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Expertise designing scalable automation frameworks and identifying negative, edge, and high-risk scenarios.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems risks, including schema drift, idempotency failures, data inconsistencies, and race conditions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Buildkite.
- Experience with backend automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI and LLM tools for development, debugging, test design, or automation acceleration.
- Experience building AI-assisted tools, workflows, or agents integrated into engineering pipelines.
- Ability to design prompt strategies, rigorously validate LLM outputs, and implement safeguards against hallucinations or unsafe automation.
- Experience using AI to improve measurable engineering productivity and orchestrating AI agents for real engineering problems.
- Knowledge of database testing and ETL or data pipeline validation is a strong plus.
