Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of new platform integrations through production and ongoing operation.
- Design, build, monitor, and improve data-intensive backend services and distributed systems.
- Build scalable, performant, maintainable APIs and data pipelines for complex customer workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn customer problems into technical solutions.
- Make technical decisions and trade-offs focused on customer value and sustainable engineering practices.
- Contribute to technical planning, retrospectives, design discussions, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Coach engineers through technical discussions, feedback, code reviews, and shared engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience designing, building, and operating robust distributed web applications and backend services.
- Solid understanding of scalable system design, APIs, data-intensive services, and reliable production operations.
- Ability to own complex technical work and balance quality, maintainability, and delivery.
- Customer-focused engineering approach and interest in understanding the problems behind product features.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including supporting and coaching other engineers.
- Ability to work from the Mexico City office one day per week.
