Base Salary
$160k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded flight software for aircraft flight control, navigation, communication, and avionics systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers on software-hardware integration.
- Write efficient, documented code that meets aircraft performance and safety requirements.
- Develop software requirements, design documents, and technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, software testing, debugging, and system-level simulations.
- Develop safety-critical software and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded flight software development.
- Professional experience programming in C/C++.
- Experience with embedded flight software development tools and methodologies.
- Preferred experience with RTOS or embedded Linux for real-time applications.
- Preferred familiarity with CAN, RS422, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, fault-redundant design, DO-178C, MIL-516C, avionics, flight control, and navigation systems.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills; startup experience is a plus.
