Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software solutions using Embedded C and C++.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex mechatronic system behavior across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software components.
- Build, stabilize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, artifact management systems, automated deployment environments, and release governance.
- Maintain and extend simulators and digital twins and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines to expand automated testing capacity.
- Automate code reviews, unit tests, deployments, and traceability from Jira through to Gherkin.
- Establish technical standards, improve developer experience, and support product functionality, engineering efficiency, testability, and quality.
- Collaborate with software, controls, mechanical, and systems engineers and occasionally travel to manufacturing facilities and project sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Solid professional experience writing and reviewing Embedded C code; experience with C++ is preferred.
- Experience with Linux and Linux networking, preferably real-time Linux.
- Experience with industrial fieldbuses such as Ethernet/IP and CIP.
- Experience with Python or a similar scripting language is preferred.
- A proven track record stabilizing CI/CD pipelines and managing automated deployment environments.
- Experience with digital twins, hardware simulators, or automated test pipelines.
- Experience with complex mechatronic systems and an affinity for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with embedded controllers such as Cortex-M; STM32 is strongly preferred.
- Experience with MATLAB and integrating MATLAB-generated C code is strongly preferred.
- Collaborative, proactive, reliable, quality-focused, and committed to automated testing, unit tests, code reviews, and first-time-right software.

- €4,500–€5,900 gross monthly salary range, excluding an 8% holiday allowance, with possible growth beyond the scale based on performance.
