Responsibilities
- Define reference architectures for deploying and operating AI solutions across cloud, edge, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Design standardized CI/CD and continuous-training pipelines covering build, testing, model validation, security checks, packaging, deployment, and rollback.
- Establish model lifecycle, registration, versioning, provenance, monitoring, retraining, retirement, and replacement practices.
- Define observability, performance baselines, service-level expectations, alerting, diagnostics, incident response, rollback, recovery, and post-incident practices for production AI systems.
- Embed cybersecurity, identity, access control, secrets management, network, data-protection, and audit requirements into AI architectures.
- Assess AI applications for transition into sustainable GE Vernova ownership and require maintainable code, documentation, monitoring, testing, version history, and assigned support ownership.
- Review AI subsystem designs for deployability, scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, observability, cost, and supportability.
- Mentor AI architects and engineering teams in cloud architecture, DevOps, MLOps, observability, testing, security, and production readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI or machine-learning solutions in complex technical environments, with progression to enterprise-level architecture responsibilities.
- Experience defining technical standards, reference architectures, and design practices across a portfolio of AI solutions.
- Familiarity with production AI/ML systems, including Kubernetes, MLflow or similar registries, Terraform, Airflow or Kubeflow, Prometheus or Grafana, and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with ARC Foundry, AMP, or GE Vernova enterprise AI platforms and integration patterns is desirable.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as n8n, LangGraph, and CrewAI and experience designing multi-agent workflow architectures is desirable.
- Experience mentoring and developing AI engineering talent across distributed teams or matrixed organizations is desirable.
- Strong communication, cross-functional partnership, technical ownership, architecture strategy, and technical escalation skills are desired.

- The U.S.-based position lists a base pay range of $113,200.00 to $188,800.00, with possible geographic differentials and discretionary annual bonus eligibility.
