Responsibilities
- Build backend systems for encryption, key management, access controls, data isolation, retention controls, and secure enterprise data handling.
- Design and operate the Codex enterprise control plane for configuring, enforcing, and auditing usage across users, teams, projects, and environments.
- Develop policy and governance systems for controlling Codex capabilities, organizational constraints, and AI-powered workflow rollouts.
- Build reliable, observable, and scalable services for identity, authorization, configuration, audit logging, compliance, and enterprise administration.
- Partner with product, security, infrastructure, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams to translate enterprise requirements into product and platform capabilities.
- Help define enterprise-grade standards for AI software engineering systems.
Requirements
- Strong backend software engineering fundamentals and experience building production-grade distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Experience with security, identity, authorization, encryption, key management, policy systems, or enterprise governance.
- Understanding of SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM, RBAC, audit logging, compliance controls, and data governance.
- Ability to build foundational platform capabilities and work across ambiguous technical and product requirements in fast-moving 0-to-1 environments.
- Strong focus on reliability, security, observability, and customer trust.
