Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and resilient security systems using Java and Python.
- Execute security software design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on quality and performance.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with related systems.
- Contribute to architecture and design artifacts while ensuring software implementations meet design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve security applications and systems.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Participate in security engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency coding in Java.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of security applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Preferred proficiency in Python.
- Preferred exposure to cloud technologies.
