Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Soldiers and stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate mission needs into technical solutions within the SHEPRD application.
- Implement rapid updates, enhancements, and fixes based on mission objectives and user feedback.
- Test, deploy, and maintain application functionality and integrate it with existing processes and systems.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to operational users onsite and remotely.
- Conduct training and mentoring for Soldiers and other application users.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other iterative software development activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to improve development workflows, efficiency, and scalability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to complex operational challenges.
- Prepare and present documentation, demonstrations, and performance reports to stakeholders.
- Travel occasionally within CONUS to other 25th Infantry Division locations or associated mission sites.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Experience building modern web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend services with a server-side framework such as Node.js or equivalent.
- Experience with relational databases, schema design, and query optimization.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience deploying applications in containerized environments such as Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and end-user collaboration skills.
- Desired experience includes React frontend development and Node.js or Express backend services.
- Desired experience includes Kubernetes or EKS, cloud or government-hosted environments, AWS GovCloud or Azure Government, and service-based or microservices architectures.
- Experience with military personnel, federal agencies, Army software processes, operational workflows, or mission systems is preferred.
- Understanding of Scrum or Kanban and sprint ceremonies is preferred.
- Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it within six months of hire is preferred.
- Applicants must be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance; only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
