Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with forward deployed and customer engineers to identify product gaps and short- and long-term improvements
- Understand and apply Palantir’s infrastructure strategy and customer stakeholder needs
- Use Kubernetes primitives and its open-source ecosystem to solve business-critical problems at scale
- Build and evolve APIs that allow internal and customer developers to interact with Kubernetes
- Abstract complex distributed systems into an infrastructure-agnostic runtime for specialized microservices
- Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to deliver sustainable and timely technical solutions
- Drive a long-term technology roadmap that reduces operational burden and risk while improving scalability
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience
- At least 1 year contributing to system design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- At least 1 year of experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Strong coding skills in Go, Java, or an equivalent language
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; equivalent experience may substitute for the degree
- Experience developing and managing highly available distributed systems
- Deep familiarity with Kubernetes and its broader open-source ecosystem
- Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
- Clear verbal and written communication, impact orientation, and ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently using observability tools and service logs
