Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Propose, implement, and evaluate novel quantum error-correction decoding algorithms, including decoders for quantum LDPC codes.
- Automate evaluation pipelines to support AI-assisted research.
- Architect scalable APIs integrating syndrome decoders and diagnostic tools with classical software and quantum hardware systems.
- Partner with research scientists and electronics engineers to support live quantum error-correction experiments.
- Drive technical strategy, project scoping, and roadmap prioritization for quantum software initiatives.
- Advocate engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of software development experience using C++ or Python, including data structures and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithmic solutions for computationally or performance-critical problems.
- Experience with systems-level programming, code optimization, or high-performance computing, including concurrency, multithreading, or GPU acceleration.
- Experience leading technical design, defining system architectures and APIs, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred experience includes syndrome decoding algorithms such as BP-OSD, MWPM, tensor networks, or neural network decoders.
- Preferred expertise includes quantum error correction, surface codes, color codes, quantum LDPC codes, physical qubit platforms, classical coding theory, graph algorithms, belief propagation, or probabilistic modeling.
