Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, debug, and troubleshoot embedded firmware for smart home products.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define system requirements, architecture, and product integration.
- Develop and optimize real-time embedded systems for performance and power efficiency.
- Implement and test SPI, I2C, UART, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee communication protocols.
- Ensure firmware quality and reliability through testing, validation, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Work across cross-functional teams and contribute to firmware development practices, release quality, and product innovation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of firmware development experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with microcontrollers such as ARM and PIC and embedded development tools.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems and low-level hardware interfaces.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN and software development lifecycle processes.
- Experience with IoT or smart home products and exposure to cloud connectivity solutions for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with Python and Bash for automation and testing.
- Experience with wireless protocols including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or Z-Wave is valued.
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and understanding CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices is valued.
- Strong teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
