Base Salary
$219k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Author code and conduct code reviews across Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Define security strategy and deliver multi-year roadmaps, programs, and projects across multiple problem spaces.
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, reliable security products, systems, and frameworks.
- Identify security maturity improvements and implement solutions across the organization.
- Collaborate with product and security teams to prioritize and address security maturity work.
- Shift security detection and prevention left into development workflows through architectural, design, and threat-based guidance.
- Own a security system or component with end-to-end understanding.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services.
- 8+ years of experience authoring code in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Experience fixing infrastructure security problems across broad corporate boundaries through influence and relationships.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of distributed systems and conducting threat model assessments.
- Experience owning a component, feature, or system.
- Preferred: broad security-domain knowledge, including areas such as investigations, incident management, digital forensics, offensive security, vulnerability management, and product security.
- Preferred: experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices, integrating AI tools into workflows, developing prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration skills, and contributing to the security or privacy community.
