Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on database migration projects across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Design robust migration strategies based on customer infrastructure analysis.
- Collaborate on migrations involving Kafka and OpenSearch technologies.
- Implement tailored migration architectures ensuring high performance and minimal downtime.
- Build detailed infrastructure diagrams and communicate architectural decisions clearly.
- Conduct technical workshops and demonstrations on Kubernetes migration processes.
- Prepare and document database best practices for customer use.
- Advocate for customer feedback to inform product development.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and database migration projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex database migrations across various technologies.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and distributed systems.
- In-depth understanding of database architecture and performance tuning.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing technical consulting role.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to automate database migrations using programming languages.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
