Base Salary
$254k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of AI agents for period-end close, GL reconciliation, intercompany eliminations, and regulatory filing drafts across more than 60 entities.
- Architect a governed agent platform with observability, evaluation frameworks, grounding strategies, and human-in-the-loop controls for SOX-audited outputs.
- Build integrations with NetSuite, Workday, and Anaplan and design data pipelines from sub-ledger through GL, consolidation, and multi-GAAP reporting.
- Define compliance-grade engineering patterns with traceable agent actions, segregation of duties, reviewability, and auditor evidence requirements.
- Set technical direction for finance automation and define the make-versus-buy strategy.
- Partner with FP&A and Treasury leadership to translate spreadsheet-based workflows into engineered systems and communicate tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 12+ years of backend software engineering experience with production systems at scale.
- Experience building reliable distributed systems and idempotent document-processing pipelines.
- Production experience deploying LLM-based applications with evaluation frameworks, hallucination guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Experience with multi-agent orchestration, task handoffs, human escalation, and state-managed approval workflows.
- Financial systems literacy covering ERP data flows, reconciliation logic, trial balances, and SOX-controlled environments.
- Experience working autonomously as a solo or embedded engineer within a non-engineering organization.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs effectively with non-technical domain experts.
- Demonstrated responsible use of generative AI with human oversight and measurable workflow improvements.
