Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve application architecture, data models, workflows, and business logic.
- Build APIs and services connecting Worklife with the Alight Data Engine.
- Develop intuitive administrative and user-facing experiences.
- Establish reusable engineering patterns for security, testing, observability, deployment, and reliability.
- Translate emerging product requirements into practical technical solutions and incremental delivery.
- Lead technical execution across Engineering, Product, UX, Data, and platform teams.
- Build production-ready services, APIs, workflows, automated tests, telemetry, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production applications.
- Strong experience with backend services, API design, application data modeling, and modern front-end development.
- Experience designing and building complex B2B applications or comparable workflow-driven products.
- Ability to turn ambiguity into clear technical decisions and working software.
- Experience integrating new capabilities into existing products and technology ecosystems.
- Ability to lead technical work across teams through collaboration and influence.
- Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools within disciplined software engineering practices.
- Experience integrating applications with data or AI-enabled services.
- Experience improving the reliability, observability, and operational efficiency of production applications.
