Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test real-time C/C++ software for multicore systems running Linux or real-time operating systems.
- Implement high-performance signal processing on general-purpose processors such as ARM.
- Use third-party mathematics and communications libraries and integrate software into frameworks such as RedHawk.
- Interface with TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS communication protocols.
- Read and understand signal-processing algorithms written in MATLAB.
- Design, implement, and test software for configuring and controlling RF hardware devices.
- Integrate hardware and software across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software.
- Support system field testing and collection events lasting approximately one week once or twice per year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of software development experience, including strong experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, hardware-software interaction, and basic computer architecture.
- Experience with hardware interfaces such as PCIe, UART, and Ethernet.
- Experience with build tools such as GCC, CMake, or Make.
- Experience with version-control tools such as Git or Subversion and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with software testing tools, unit-test frameworks, and test-driven development practices.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for software.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with engineering teams and learn new technical concepts.
- Active TS/SCI-level security clearance required.
- Master’s degree, higher-level security clearance, embedded-systems debugging with oscilloscopes or logic analyzers, GitLab experience, and Bash scripting are preferred or advantageous.
