Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Solve complex and ambiguous technical problems and break them into actionable paths for the organization.
- Identify recurring failure patterns and drive architectural changes that improve system scalability and reliability.
- Align multiple teams on major technical decisions across cross-functional domains.
- Define the context and technical rails that enable safe and effective use of AI tools across Carta.
- Set the vision for operational excellence and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- Expertise building distributed systems and guiding technical direction across complex architectures.
- Proficiency with or strong familiarity with Python, Django, React, Postgres, JVM languages, gRPC, and AWS.
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience is recommended, with a track record of high-level technical leadership.
- Ability to lead through influence, communicate constructively, and apply strong technical discipline.
- Ability to anticipate future technical roadblocks and build systems that support long-term business growth.
