Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support high-throughput, highly available, distributed, multi-tenant, cloud-native systems.
- Build and maintain key Amazon OpenSearch Service features using primarily Java and Rust.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant systems and address data ingestion, auto-scaling, storage, search optimization, query optimization, security, and machine learning challenges.
- Prototype and validate design approaches, translate requirements into deliverables, and collaborate with technology leaders.
- Identify operational improvements that reduce maintenance and development costs.
- Work across control-plane APIs and data-plane performance for services operating across AWS regions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience in software design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating on prototypes, testing, and design validation.
