Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing-floor support and troubleshoot software, server, cybersecurity, and system-level issues in production and NPI prototype environments.
- Create and implement engineering change order updates to products, manufacturing processes, and system configurations.
- Lead projects addressing trending manufacturing and field issues.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and cases from product, system, and software requirements.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory tests for software features, server applications, and integrations on DNA sequencing instruments.
- Own software verification for assigned features or subsystems, including planning, execution, defect reporting, and documentation.
- Perform defect investigation and root-cause analysis across software, firmware, hardware, manufacturing, and systems boundaries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet user, system, quality, compliance, and security needs.
- Use approved AI-assisted tools for test design, failure analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement with appropriate human review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software testing, software quality, software systems integration, or a related role.
- Experience with functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Experience independently owning feature-level or subsystem-level software verification activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across software, firmware, hardware, and system boundaries.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and requirements management platforms such as Jira and Jama.
- Ability to work regularly with physical instruments in a laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, command-line tools, data management and processing, and production or customer network and IT configurations.
- Preferred experience includes embedded systems, communication protocols, test automation, cybersecurity regulations, regulated environments such as medical devices, AI-assisted engineering tools, Python or shell scripting, project management, technical issue triage, and software requirements development.

- Estimated base salary range is $103,000-$154,600 in the United States, with eligibility for variable cash programs and equity for eligible roles.
