Base Salary
$100k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and flight teams to translate mission requirements into production features.
- Assist in the development of hardware architectures critical to Neros’ peripheral systems.
- Develop, modify, and own embedded firmware for Neros peripheral systems including headsets and handsets.
- Implement video conversions, corrections, storage, compression, and streaming functions using FPGA, MCU, and embedded Linux systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in firmware development.
- Experience with STM32 family of microcontrollers.
- Significant FPGA experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems.
- Proficient in embedded Linux.
- Familiarity with peripherals and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UARTs.
- Comfortable with hardware and software tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Knowledge of camera interfaces, video formats, and compression standards.
- Experience with bare-metal development.
- Familiarity with Git and development workflows.
- Interest in FPV drones or UAVs.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information.
