Base Salary
$100k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate mission requirements into production features in collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and flight teams.
- Assist with hardware architectures for peripheral systems.
- Develop, modify, and own embedded firmware for headsets, handsets, and future products.
- Implement video conversion, correction, storage, compression, streaming, and related functions using FPGA, MCU, and/or embedded Linux systems.
- Support product development from concept through rapid prototyping and full-scale production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Experience with STM32 microcontrollers and significant FPGA development.
- Strong C/C++ embedded systems and embedded Linux skills.
- Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UARTs, DMA pipelines, ADC/DAC operation, interrupts, and clock-domain synchronization.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, bare-metal development, and Git workflows.
- Working knowledge of camera interfaces, video formats, and compression standards.
- Knowledge or interest in FPV drones or UAVs and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include high-speed MCU-to-FPGA streaming, Part 107 FPV drone pilot licensing, soldering, 3D printing, prototyping, RTOS experience, GStreamer or FFmpeg video pipelines, and FPGA/SoC video conversion experience.
