Base Salary
$141k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time machine-control software for proprietary industrial 3D-printing systems.
- Build multithreaded modern C++ applications for motion control, automation, and machine orchestration.
- Develop operator-facing GUI applications for monitoring, diagnostics, and control.
- Create simulation and modeling tools to validate machine behavior and improve performance and reliability.
- Design calibration routines, fault-detection logic, and automated maintenance workflows.
- Integrate software with complex electromechanical systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on production hardware.
- Contribute to software architecture, code-quality standards, CI/CD workflows, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++, including C++11 or newer.
- Experience developing multithreaded and/or real-time software applications.
- Experience with Git or similar version-control systems.
- Familiarity with build systems and tooling such as CMake.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and systems-level thinking skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Qt GUI applications, OpenCV or other computer-vision frameworks, Python scripting and automation, industrial automation, robotics, control systems, real-time systems, motion control, DSP, electromechanical hardware integration, MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, GitHub Actions, automated testing, and advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or high-performance engineering environments.
