Responsibilities
- Define frontend architecture, technical strategy, standards, best practices, and shared design systems using technologies such as React, Angular, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Lead backend development, API architecture, complex integrations, database schema design, and performance optimization using Node.js and Python.
- Drive system performance, scalability, reliability, authentication, authorization, monitoring, observability, and production reliability practices.
- Design and integrate AI services into full-stack systems, including LLM APIs, streaming, tool and function calling, multi-step agent flows, and RAG patterns.
- Lead code reviews and design discussions, make architectural decisions, communicate technical tradeoffs, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical decisions with product and business goals.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience and experience leading complex full-stack initiatives.
- Deep proficiency in React or Angular, with strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills and experience with Next.js.
- Strong experience with state management, modern CSS frameworks, build tooling, backend development, and API architecture.
- Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, caching, query optimization, microservices, event-driven systems, and message queues.
- Experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and UI testing.
- Experience integrating AI services into production full-stack systems, including LLM APIs, streaming, tool and function calling, multi-step agent flows, and RAG patterns.
- Experience collaborating with design tools and partners to deliver polished, accessible interfaces, including Figma.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience across a team or organization.
- Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguous technical and business challenges.
- Demonstrable daily usage and expert knowledge of AI-forward tools such as Claude and Cursor.
