Responsibilities
- Build and ship customer-facing authentication features such as login improvements, MFA, step-up authentication, and device binding.
- Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Kotlin for registration, authorization, authentication, and account lifecycle flows.
- Integrate Okta, Auth0, and ForgeRock identity capabilities with web, mobile, and partner applications.
- Contribute to software design, readable code, automated tests, code reviews, and supported production deployments.
- Debug services, improve reliability, and use logs and metrics to understand production behavior.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams while developing expertise in authentication and CIAM.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write, test, and debug software in Python, Kotlin, or a similar language through coursework, internships, personal projects, open source, or professional work.
- Foundational knowledge of backend development, APIs, data structures, databases, and version control.
- Interest in authentication and motivation to build secure and reliable customer experiences.
- Prior identity protocol or CIAM platform experience is a plus but is not required.
- Practical problem-solving skills, willingness to ask questions, and openness to mentorship and code review.
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and security teammates.
- No fixed minimum years of experience is required.
