Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing for software features and user stories.
- Lead software architecture, prototyping, development, and modernization of mission computing systems.
- Translate system-level requirements into software requirements in partnership with software and hardware stakeholders.
- Provide architecture guidance, estimate new business opportunities, and coordinate technical execution across teams.
- Review system-level analyses, identify risks and issues, and lead mitigation actions through the software lifecycle.
- Lead code reviews and ensure alignment with requirements and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and document standard design, testing, and execution processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in software systems engineering, systems architecture, or embedded software development.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java or C++.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant engineering, science, mathematics, data science, or computer science degree and 9+ years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of directly related experience, or 17+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements development, interface definition, and system integration is preferred.
- Experience with C, C++, Python, or Java in real-time or mission-critical environments is preferred.
- Experience with requirements management, MBSE, test management, collaboration tools, dependency management, and automation services is preferred.
- Experience with mission systems, avionics, command and control architectures, embedded systems, sensor systems, or defense and space programs is preferred.
- Candidates must complete a technical CodeVue assessment and satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
