Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, enhance, test, deploy, and support production integrations and data solutions across wealth and asset management platforms.
  • Support and scale Addepar workflows covering portfolio management, client reporting, investment operations, performance analytics, and advisory processes.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines between Addepar, Snowflake, reporting tools, client platforms, portfolio systems, accounting systems, Canoe, and vendor applications.
  • Develop SQL queries, reconciliation logic, exception reports, data profiling routines, and automated data quality controls.
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, normalization, validation, modeling, and consumption-layer design for portfolio, client, account, security, transaction, performance, benchmark, and alternative investment data.
  • Monitor production data feeds, manage exceptions, triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate vendor escalation, and complete post-incident remediation.
  • Translate business and investment operations needs into data requirements, technical specifications, mappings, validation rules, and operating procedures.
  • Document data flows, business rules, reconciliation procedures, platform processes, and production support runbooks.
  • Participate in platform enhancements, regression testing, user acceptance testing, release planning, and change-management activities.
  • Improve automation, data quality, reliability, scalability, security, privacy, auditability, and operational resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in wealth management, asset management, family office, investment advisory, or financial services.
  • At least 5 years of experience in integration engineering, data analysis, investment operations technology, financial systems support, platform analytics, or enterprise data operations.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting integrations using Snowflake, Python, dbt, APIs, ETL/ELT tools, orchestration platforms, file-based integrations, and automation frameworks.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, data profiling, exception identification, reconciliation, and large-dataset analysis.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving data quality issues across portfolio, account, transaction, position, security master, performance, and reporting datasets.
  • Strong understanding of wealth or asset management workflows, including portfolio management, investment operations, client reporting, performance reporting, alternative investments, and financial reporting.
  • Experience translating business requirements into data requirements, technical specifications, data mappings, validation rules, and operating procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Preferred experience with Addepar implementation and integration, Canoe or similar platforms, dashboards, exception reports, reconciliation tools, analytics datasets, financial-services controls, production support, incident management, release validation, and change-management procedures.
  • Ability to work in a Brown Advisory office three days per week; Baltimore is strongly preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
