Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers.
- Lead team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering outcomes.
- Identify and automate remediation for recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams, including architectural and technology assessments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced experience with one or more of Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and AWS.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant AI-assisted delivery practices.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and practical cloud-native experience.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency and security, and in-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
