Base Salary

$130k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Starshield security infrastructure, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
  • Develop security features for Starshield routers, dishes, gateways, satellites, and related systems.
  • Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
  • Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
  • Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline.
  • Experience with one or more software development languages, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or enterprise-scale infrastructure.
  • Graduation in the class of 2026 or 2027.
  • Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems.
  • Preferred experience with trusted platform modules (TPMs) and hardware security modules (HSMs).
  • Preferred fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols.
  • Preferred ability to navigate large, complex, interactive systems and learn new technologies quickly.
  • An advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
  • An active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $130,000.00-$160,000.00 for Level 1 and $150,000.00-$195,000.00 for Level 2.

  • The role may require extended hours and weekend work, and employment is contingent on obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret Security Clearance.
