Responsibilities

Discover operational workflows and identify meaningful opportunities for AI by working directly with practitioners.
Decompose ambiguous requests into concrete, measurable steps and determine where AI is appropriate.
Build, ship, operate, and hand off applied AI pilots and production capabilities.
Train users and develop local champions so deployed capabilities remain sustainable without adding headcount.
Convert delivered projects into reusable patterns that improve the shared AI platform.
Serve as the primary field source of truth for the proprietary governed AI platform.

At least 5 years of engineering or operational delivery experience, including 3+ years shipping applied AI/ML and recent hands-on work with modern large-language-model tools.
Demonstrated experience shipping and operating production capabilities rather than only research or demonstrations.
Ability to describe at least two shipped systems, including failures, lessons learned, and improvements; at least one must have been built without an existing team, specification, or predecessor system and remained in use afterward.
Ability to translate ambiguous real-world work into scoped, measurable pieces and proactively identify risks.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training; engineering, computer science, data science, or a related technical field is preferred.
Proficient technical expertise and strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
Forward-deployed or embedded delivery experience, experience training or deputizing others, and defense, manufacturing, or regulated-industry experience are preferred.
Active or prior security clearance is preferred; U.S. citizenship and an active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time are required.
