Responsibilities
- Lead design and review of software test specifications, test cases, and test reports.
- Design and implement HIL, SIL, and MIL verification and validation environments for model-based design goals.
- Develop LabVIEW- and MATLAB-based automated test scripts and frameworks, along with manual test procedures.
- Perform functional, integration, system-level, black-box, and hardware-integration testing of embedded motor-control software.
- Design and configure general-purpose testers for different motor-control modules, voltage levels, and control schemes.
- Analyze test results, document findings, report outcomes to stakeholders, and maintain test environments, tools, equipment, and work documentation.
- Translate customer requirements into software specifications and train technicians to use tester rigs.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, quality, and reliability engineers while supporting system speed, usability, robustness, and software qualification objectives.
Requirements
- BSEE or higher from an accredited electrical or automation engineering college.
- At least 8 years of experience in embedded software testing, preferably with motor-control systems and concepts such as PWM and PID.
- Proficiency with LabVIEW and scripting or programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging equipment.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, software development processes, version control, unit testing, and bug tracking.
- Preferred experience with power tools, outdoor equipment, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration tools, and hardware-software co-design and debugging.
- Strong English communication skills, self-motivation, organization across multiple concurrent tasks, and effective collaboration with internal and overseas teams.
