Responsibilities
- Own complex features end to end, from product discovery and planning through technical design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Conduct code reviews and technical design reviews to improve engineering quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and growth.
- Shape capabilities of the virtual cloud provider platform, including deployment technology, managed services, authentication and authorization, and developer experience.
- Build and operate cloud infrastructure components, monitoring systems, and logging systems where applicable.
Requirements
- Several years of professional software development experience, ideally with web or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go.
- Solid understanding of SQL databases, distributed systems, API design, microservices architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- A relevant degree or comparable qualification.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, collaboration, structured problem-solving, openness to feedback, and curiosity about technology.
- Experience building or operating cloud infrastructure components in cloud-native environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with React is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems and hands-on DevSecOps experience is preferred.
