Responsibilities

  • Define test strategies, technical test plans, and acceptance criteria for new features and applications.
  • Design, implement, and document test environments and frameworks across all levels of the testing pyramid.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, system, end-to-end, performance, load, stress, and soak tests.
  • Execute functional and non-functional testing, review and debug product and test code, and investigate defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Analyze test data and produce test reports for checkpoints and milestones.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and software engineers on story acceptance, defect fixes, product architecture, and testability.
  • Participate in Scrum activities and continuously improve team processes, engineering practices, and velocity.
  • Investigate and integrate testing tools and methodologies into continuous integration processes and share practices with other teams.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in technical software quality assurance or SDET roles.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, processes, levels, methods, types, and estimation techniques.
  • Experience building test frameworks from scratch and supporting testing across the testing pyramid.
  • Strong experience developing automated test solutions for web-based products using .NET and C#.
  • Experience testing and automating distributed systems and building performance benchmarking solutions for .NET applications.
  • Extensive experience with continuous integration and delivery tooling.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile team environment.
  • Desirable experience with Azure cloud services, infrastructure as code, Docker, ACA, Kubernetes, chaos engineering, automated security testing, and the insurance industry.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant discipline.
