Responsibilities
- Define test strategies, environments, frameworks, and technical test plans for new features and applications.
- Develop and document automated unit, integration, system, end-to-end, performance, load, stress, and soak tests.
- Build test automation frameworks and performance benchmarking solutions for web-based, distributed, and .NET products.
- Execute functional and non-functional testing, review and debug product and test code, and investigate defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Work with Product Owners and software engineers on user stories, acceptance criteria, testability, defect fixes, and software design.
- Analyse test data, produce test reports, participate in Scrum activities, and improve engineering practices and team processes.
- Investigate and integrate new testing tools and methodologies into continuous integration processes and share testing best practices across teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software quality assurance in technical SDET roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, levels, methods, types, and estimation techniques.
- Experience building test frameworks from scratch and supporting all levels of the testing pyramid.
- Strong experience developing web-based test automation solutions using .NET and C#.
- Experience testing distributed systems and building performance test benchmarking solutions for .NET applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile teams and using continuous integration and delivery tooling.
- Hands-on Azure experience and infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code, Docker, ACA, Kubernetes, chaos engineering, or automated security testing are desirable.
- General knowledge of the insurance industry is desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant discipline.
