Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of multi-feature software systems that are scalable, maintainable, and well architected.
- Own the team’s technical direction by evaluating trade-offs and guiding architecture and technology choices.
- Drive engineering practices involving code quality, operational excellence, alarms, telemetry, runbooks, and retrospectives.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, career coaching, and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify customer problems and deliver incremental software value.
- Balance hands-on coding with architecture reviews, implementation support, operational monitoring, and technical design documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or CSSLP certification.
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, 5+ years of full-stack development, experience with modern software development and web development frameworks and APIs, and 5+ years of distributed systems experience.
- Must obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
