Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable infrastructure and network architectures for SAP Cloud Infrastructure.
- Author blueprints, whitepapers, architectural decision records, and technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve customer blockers affecting project go-live and cloud adoption.
- Lead customer workshops, technical discovery, briefings, use-case qualification, and scope definition.
- Build and validate end-to-end proof-of-concepts covering network integration, connectivity, security, and computing.
- Maintain standardized templates, checklists, and demonstration assets aligned with approved service catalogs.
- Design and operate AI-optimized network infrastructure, including AI factory environments and building-block cell architectures.
- Use AI tools and agents for engineering, troubleshooting, documentation, automation scripting, and prototyping.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in cloud and solution infrastructure technologies.
- Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, AI architectures, servers, storage, networking, and data center services.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack, plus virtualization technologies and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, including required EVPN-based fabric designs, VxLAN, and modern spine-leaf architectures.
- Familiarity with AI Core backend designs and low-latency, high-bandwidth inference workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to build infrastructure solutions, engage customers and vendors, coordinate proof-of-concepts, and prepare decision documents.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience integrating AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, SAP Joule, or Claude Code into engineering workflows.
