Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and technical requirements with users, product owners, and technical stakeholders.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support custom SharePoint Online solutions using SPFx.
- Build responsive and accessible SPFx web parts, extensions, application customizers, field customizers, and reusable components.
- Develop user interfaces with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Fluent UI.
- Integrate SharePoint Online with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, Azure services, Microsoft Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and other systems.
- Configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, site columns, metadata, navigation, permissions, search, and information architecture.
- Develop custom connectors and API-based integrations for SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Participate in solution architecture, technical design, peer code reviews, Agile Scrum activities, and development standards.
- Create and execute unit, integration, regression, and user-acceptance test plans and document results.
- Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, permission problems, integration failures, and production-support concerns.
- Package and deploy SPFx solutions across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Use source control, work-item tracking, code reviews, builds, release management, and automated deployment practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, deployment instructions, runbooks, configuration guides, and user documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, demonstrate completed functionality, and provide user training and technical assistance.
- Ensure solutions meet security, governance, data-protection, records-management, and accessibility requirements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing custom SharePoint Online and SPFx solutions with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse, custom connectors, and Power Platform integrations is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, or other Azure services is preferred.
- Experience with Power Apps Component Framework controls, Fluent UI, reusable React component libraries, and Microsoft 365 administrative scripting tools is preferred.
- Experience modernizing classic SharePoint applications or migrating solutions to SharePoint Online is preferred.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Familiarity with Power Platform governance, data-loss-prevention policies, environment management, application lifecycle management, and Microsoft 365 AI capabilities is preferred.
- Experience conducting code reviews or mentoring junior developers is preferred.
- Experience in a federal government or Department of Defense environment is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional experience, technical training, or industry certifications may be considered instead.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust determination and Common Access Card.
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger motions, follow audible emergency communications, and sit for prolonged periods working at a computer.
