Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and support Android application features throughout their lifecycle.
- Integrate Android applications with cloud APIs and connected products, and help resolve technical incidents.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements and contribute to the mobile software architecture.
- Assess technical risks and propose pragmatic design trade-offs.
- Organize and prioritize the backlog with Product Owners and contribute to scoping and estimating requirements.
- Coordinate the team with the Release Train Engineer and other teams, communicate progress, and escalate blockers.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and act as a team facilitator.
- Write and maintain architecture specifications, API and interface documentation, and integration guides.
- Manage application distribution on Google Play, including keystores and application signing.
- Contribute to technical decisions, onboard new team members, and mentor junior developers.
- Monitor mobile development trends, explore useful innovations including AI tools, and contribute to protecting innovations through patents.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines, Flow, and extensions.
- Production experience with Android UI frameworks, especially Jetpack and Jetpack Compose, plus Activity and Fragment lifecycles.
- Strong knowledge of mobile software architecture, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularity, and dependency injection with Hilt, Koin, or an equivalent.
- Strong testing and code-quality skills with JUnit, Mockito, lint, and static analysis.
- Experience with Git, GitLab CI, Gradle, Fastlane, keystores, and Google Play publication.
- Experience integrating REST/JSON APIs, consuming cloud APIs, and handling network errors.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy, BluetoothGatt, Central/Peripheral concepts, scanning, GATT characteristics, Wi-Fi, and IoT device state management is a plus.
- Daily use of AI tools to improve efficiency is a plus.
- English proficiency at B2 level is required.
