Base Salary
$165k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build external-facing API endpoints for customer workflows.
- Improve database and query performance.
- Integrate with a wide range of third-party services.
- Translate product requirements into reliable business logic.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues.
- Make the platform faster, more stable, and easier to use.
- Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally including external-facing APIs or third-party integrations.
- Strong system design, debugging, and problem-solving fundamentals.
- Strong Python knowledge, with openness to candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds.
- Experience with serverless technologies, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Experience taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.
- Excellent proactive communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Bonus experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems.
