Base Salary
$196k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the frontend technical roadmap and architecture for Ads Manager web applications.
- Design, build, and maintain React interfaces for campaign creation, management, reporting, and optimization.
- Define shared components, state management, and reusable frontend abstractions.
- Partner with backend teams on API and data contracts.
- Lead cross-team frontend standards, modernization, technical-debt reduction, and multi-quarter initiatives.
- Improve observability, performance, accessibility, reliability, developer productivity, and on-call readiness.
- Embed security-by-design and lead responses to significant security or reliability issues affecting the Ads Manager UI.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Data Science teams.
- Mentor and sponsor engineers up to L5 and improve onboarding and team practices.
- Help establish best practices for AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building modern web applications with substantial ownership of complex user-facing products.
- Deep expertise in Node.js and React, including hooks, state management, and performance tuning.
- Strong frontend architecture experience with modularization, shared components, routing, data fetching, and error handling.
- Experience designing and integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs in collaboration with backend teams.
- Experience leading large, ambiguous, multi-stakeholder projects from design through rollout and operations.
- Demonstrated impact on productivity and code health through abstractions, tooling, testing, and CI improvements.
- Experience with web application monitoring and observability, such as Datadog or similar tools.
- Comfort using AI-assisted developer tools and scaling their use across a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale data-heavy UIs, GraphQL at scale, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, frontend performance and reliability, major migrations, Figma, and mentoring L3–L5 engineers.
