Responsibilities
- Own the Wabtec LATAM Localization application portfolio and ensure its reliability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and integrate full-stack applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders on requirements, technical recommendations, estimates, and roadmap planning.
- Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for critical production incidents and application issues.
- Manage cloud solutions, infrastructure automation, monitoring, CI/CD processes, and application observability.
- Drive modernization, automation, simplification, technical debt reduction, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, business, and vendor teams and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software development and application support, including production support and resolution of critical application issues.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, responsive web applications, and CSS frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing automated testing with tools such as Jest or Vitest.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and integrations, Terraform infrastructure as code, configuration management and orchestration tools, preferably Chef.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Datadog monitoring, and application observability tools.
- Working knowledge of software security standards, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical communication skills; fluent English.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience and familiarity with Oracle ERP, Epicor, or SAP are preferred; rail industry experience is a plus.
- Availability to travel to local and global sites approximately 10%.
