C++/Pyspark Developer with Mortgage Risk

Base Salary

$90k - $110k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement Python-developed mortgage risk models in C++ for scalable production use.
  • Support model execution and monitoring across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Collaborate with risk modeling teams to understand the mathematical and functional aspects of models.
  • Design and develop user interfaces and supporting tools for model usability and analysis.
  • Integrate risk model components with broader system architecture and data pipelines.
  • Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to maintain data flow and system interoperability.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across computing environments.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on C++ development experience with modern C++ standards.
  • Strong Python and PySpark experience for data processing.
  • Robust SQL and database platform experience, including Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with grid computing technologies for large-scale model runs.
  • Background in software development, integration, and/or infrastructure engineering.
  • Understanding of system architecture and upstream and downstream data movement.
  • Experience with SDLC tools and processes, including Jira and HP Quality Center.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Financial services experience, particularly in market risk or related risk modeling, is preferred.
