Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and implement test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects through closure.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement automated test scripts using Java and testing frameworks.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
- Review test cases and automation approaches with collaborators to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Track test execution milestones and report issues and risks that may affect project timelines.
- Construct end-to-end business scenarios based on business objectives and goals.
- Support delivery pipeline adoption and identify environmental and test data dependencies.
- Contribute reusable functions to the standard automation framework.
- Maintain process compliance and associated documentation.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities and escalate issues appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on test automation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and implementing functional and automated test scripts using Java and testing frameworks.
- Experience with JIRA, AQM, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, TestNG, JUnit, and Selenium.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum processes, defect triage, defect status reporting, and defect tracking through JIRA.
- Knowledge of automation standards and best practices, including XPath axes and CSS selectors.
- Knowledge of automation design patterns such as the Page Object Model and software development methodologies.
- Experience with regression, smoke and sanity, compatibility, system functional, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience with API automation and API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Karate, and Postman.
- Experience with database testing using Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake.
- Ability to write simple to medium-complexity SQL queries.
- Ability to interpret technical designs and specifications and design automated solutions accordingly.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
