Senior Staff Software Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities
- Own product or infrastructure direction for a major area from initial development through scalable solutions.
- Build and deliver highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant engines processing hundreds of terabytes of data daily across thousands of customers.
- Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
- Design architecture, influence the product roadmap, and take ownership of new projects.
- Prevent and investigate production issues using deep systems expertise.
- Plan and lead complex technical projects involving multiple company teams.
- Drive organizational roadmap and direction and lead engineering-wide initiatives or review committees.
- Break down complex problems and de-risk solutions through prototyping and validation.
- Mentor engineers, support recruiting, lead sprint planning, delegate assignments, and participate in project planning.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world use cases.
- Experience driving company initiatives toward customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivation to deliver customer value and measurable impact.
