Base Salary
$243k - $500k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and roadmap for Pinterest's AI Platform in alignment with business priorities and long-term strategy.
- Lead strategic initiatives covering Generative AI data management, post-training, evaluation, and batch and online inference.
- Advance recommender-system feature stores, training infrastructure, and large-scale high-performance inference.
- Connect the AI/ML lifecycle through AI-powered productivity tools that automate and enhance the user experience.
- Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative culture and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team growth.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in AI/ML infrastructure and distributed systems, including designing, building, and operating highly available production systems at large scale.
- Proficiency in at least one of C++, Java, or Rust.
- A proven track record leading cross-organizational initiatives, defining technical strategy, influencing architecture decisions, and aligning executives and cross-functional partners.
- Strong technical judgment, ownership, engineering standards, integrity, and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
