Responsibilities
- Support cloud engineering, DevOps, automation, and system reliability activities.
- Develop, explain, validate, test, and troubleshoot code or configurations, including those created with AI assistance.
- Contribute to software projects involving backend development, REST APIs, databases, system integration, deployment, or automation.
- Work collaboratively on technical challenges in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- Good English communication skills; Japanese is a plus.
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above.
- Programming knowledge in at least one of Python, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, or C#/.NET.
- Basic understanding of data structures, databases, REST APIs, operating systems, and client-server architecture.
- Familiarity with Git or another version control system and experience completing at least one academic, personal, or open-source software project.
- Basic understanding of at least one cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Interest in cloud engineering, DevOps, automation, system reliability, and technical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor, with the ability to validate and troubleshoot their output.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux command-line or scripting exposure, familiarity with Docker or Docker Compose, and exposure to CI/CD, networking, application deployment, or infrastructure automation.
