Responsibilities
- Design and build Go-based control-plane services, CSI drivers, and tooling that provision, configure, and operate storage for Kubernetes AI and compute workloads.
- Integrate Dell PowerScale, VAST, and comparable high-performance storage platforms into automated declarative provisioning workflows.
- Build data-path, telemetry, and observability tooling to diagnose performance, reliability, and scaling issues.
- Develop production software with strong testing, code review, and operational rigor.
- Create infrastructure-as-code and GitOps-driven pipelines for storage configuration and lifecycle management.
- Support bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage intersects with host and cluster bring-up.
- Deliver storage integrations for k0s-based Kubernetes using Cluster API and K0rdent management and child-cluster topologies.
- Architect storage software for fully disconnected and air-gapped environments, including local artifact and mirror connectivity and PKI/TLS considerations.
- Communicate technical decisions effectively across teams and own ambiguous problems end to end.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including production systems, with Go as a primary language.
- At least 5 years of experience building or integrating distributed, scale-out, NAS, or object storage systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance storage platforms such as Dell PowerScale, VAST, or comparable technologies.
- Strong understanding of file, block, and object storage models; throughput and latency; caching; consistency; and failure modes.
- Experience with Kubernetes storage, including CSI, persistent volumes, storage classes, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Rust in addition to Go is preferred.
- Experience with Mirantis K0rdent Enterprise, K0rdent AI, k0s, MKE, and Cluster API is preferred.
- Experience developing storage for GPU and AI workloads, including high-throughput data pipelines and GPUDirect Storage, is preferred.
- Experience in sovereign or high-security air-gapped environments is preferred.
Benefits
- Remote role in the United States.
- Work with GPU cloud operators, NeoClouds, sovereign clouds, and AI-focused enterprises.
- Collaborate with a distributed team focused on openness and technical excellence.
- Opportunity to influence the product narrative and go-to-market success.
